Valieant Covered Bridge

Valieant Covered Bridge is located on Pioneer Trail at Meadowside Nature Center. A sign at the bridge says, "This bridge was built in memory of Joan Valieant, teacher and environmentalist, by students from Rockville High School with funds provided by her friends and colleagues." Valieant bridge is intended for foot traffic only. Although small motor vehicles could fit through the bridge they would have extreme difficulty managing the paths that lead to the bridge. Valieant is about 1/4 mile from Meadowside Nature Center offices along Pioneer Trail. Trail maps are available at the Nature Center. Above photo taken 2018. Photo below taken 2008
